VIDEOS FOR BAPTISM PREPARATION:
We welcome you and your child to this beautiful sacrament! Baptism is a sign of the sacred, confers grace, is a celebration of Christ's life, and is the beginning of a deep relationship; a vital union with the risen Lord.
The Basilica of Saint Andrew requires that parents attend one Baptism preparation class prior to the baptism of their child. Baptisms are done by Father Kevin Segerblom, Father Andrew Clark, or Deacon Dan Derringer. Baptisms during Mass are primarily being done at the 11:30 am Sunday Mass, according to the schedule below. Our baptisms are currently being limited to four (4) children per session during Mass, and five (5) children per session at 1:00 pm.
REQUIRED FORMS:
Godparents are required to complete the Attestation Form. (ENGLISH SPANISH) It is the responsibility of the godparents to fill out the form, get it signed by their own parish priest, and return it to The Basilica of Saint Andrew. The form is to be submitted to The Basilica of Saint Andrew before the Baptism takes place. Please do not submit forms that do not have a priest's or delegate's signature!
All forms must be returned to the Parish Office at least one week prior to the Baptism.
Please return the forms to:
You are kindly asked to SIGN UP in advance for both the preparation session and the baptism weekend by filling out the online forms, calling the Parish Office at 344-9814 ext. 124, or emailing Colleen. Sometimes space is limited - your prompt attention to this will insure your family being scheduled on the day you desire.
BAPTISM WEEKENDS FOR 2025:Sacramental Photography Policy: The Basilica of Saint Andrew has a policy that does not allow professional photographers to take pictures of Baptisms during Mass. We want our parishioners to fully experience the sacred nature of the Mass and the reception of the sacrament without the distraction of a photographer present. You are welcome to do pictures after Mass either in the Church or on the Church grounds. Photographers for a Baptism outside of Mass at 1:00 pm will be handled on an individual basis. Please send those requests to [email protected] at least one month in advance.
