Crisis Aid PolicyThe Basilica partners with several Roanoke area organizations to help assist individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships. We donate money to these organizations and depend on them to help us identify where we can be of greatest assistance.
If you wish to be considered for financial assistance:
STEP ONE: You must first contact RAM House or other referring agency to set up an intake interview. They will conduct an intake interview with you. After you have met with them, they will then send your information to St. Andrew if they are unable to assist you.
STEP THREE: If RAM House or other agency cannot assist you, your information will be sent to St. Andrew and you will be contacted to go over your information and set up a plan for assistance is available.

We cannot help with hotel stays or bus passes out of the Roanoke area.

DONATIONS FOR RAM
Please drop off all donations directly at the RAM house.
RAM House is still in operation and serving some of the most vulnerable in the valley. Their shelter is open for those who are homeless. You do not have to be homeless to receive a meal, please go and get a meal if you are in need of a lunch.
Below is their greatest needs list:
Large container grated parmesan cheese
Any type of cheese block- sliced or shredded
Canned fruit
Fruit cocktail
Canned vegetable-large #10 cans if possible
Clean grocery (Kroger) bags
PAM spray,regular or Olive oil
24 or 40 ct. bottled water
50/55 gallon trash bags -
